One Individual's Opinion On Trump

Read this on Facebook just a few minutes ago. Wow...

"Millions of trump supporters feel this way about Donald J. Trump....."We don't care if the guy swears... or how many times he's been married...or who he voted for, or what his income tax return shows. We want the problems fixed. Yes he's an egomaniac, but we don't care. We know he's not a racist, or bad to women, or all the other things the liberal media is trying to label him with. We know he's raised a good family, and that says a lot about him.
The country is a mess because politicians suck, the Republican Party is two faced & gutless, and illegals are everywhere and Muslims are openly trying to hurt this country and make the civilized world adjust to them. We want it all fixed!
We don't care that Trump is crude, we don't care that he has changed positions, we don't care that he fights with Megan Kelly, Rosie O'Donnell, and so many of the elected establishment. We don't care that Rubio, Ryan, the Bush's, and so many other top old and new Republicans refuse to endorse him for their own selfish reasons, and we know what they are. We don't care that he doesn't know the name of some Muslim terrorists, we don't care that he tried some businesses that didn't work out.
This country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, we are being invaded by illegals, we are becoming a nation of victims, where every Tom, Ricardo and Hasid is a special group with special rights to a point where we don't even recognize the country we were born and raised in, AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED. And TRUMP is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want.
We're sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic and Republican Party. We're angry about the Iran deal, the budget, treatment of Israel, military weakness, lobbyists, special interests, overpaid politicians with their self serving bills and back room deals, trade deals, loss of jobs, manipulated economic numbers, businesses fleeing, and even the phoney pay for play Clinton Foundation.
Americans are no longer going to be fooled, and the movement is out to change the direction we're taking. Trump may not be a saint, but he doesn't have lobbyist money holding him, he doesn't have political correctness restraining him, and all you know is that he has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built a lot of things, he's flexible, and he's also not a politician. And he says he'll fix it. And we believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong or looked at and called a liar.
Public service has become elected greed. This may be our only chance to have a non-politician, despite his flaws, try and correct the mess, at least for 4 years. We must take the shot, because the consequences of putting Hillary Clinton in office are frightening. There is a tidal wave happening, and its going to overcome much of what's happened to this country."

Btw, the post received hundreds of likes...

First Presidential Debate

Don't have a lot of time but wanted to put my two cents in about last night's presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump before much time passes.

Overall, I don't think we learned anything new about either candidate. Both were clearly coached and pretty much stuck to their talking points.

Hillary remained cool, calm, collected and almost robotic for the most part. Though there were moments where her reptilian gaze focused on Trump's face with total contempt. No doubt a picture speaks a thousand words. However, the majority of time she plastered a smile on her face regardless of what was said.

Trump was well ... Trump. Loved watching his face while Hillary spoke. Such a range of expressions in contrast . Also enjoyed the wit and humor he sometimes injected in response to some of her biting accusations. For instance when Hillary complained about how The Donald hasn't paid any federal taxes in years. Trump quipped "That makes me smart." There were other such responses. All said in an unassuming and light hearted manner. I liked that. Last, Trump, to his credit,  refrained from acting out and giving fodder to his enemies so they can declare he hasn't the temperament to be president.

Getting down to business.

Donald's high point was when the economy was discussed. This is where he shined. His remarks about how the Fed is playing politics in regards to interest rates is right on the money. As were his remarks that we are in a financial bubble and trouble is ahead. His plan to reduce corporate taxes and regulations and renegotiate trade deals, though nothing unique, hit home.

I also liked Trump's stance on stop and frisk. Which, btw,  Lester Holt said was deemed unconstitutional. Not true! At least according to a few legal sources quoted in the news.

In addition I completely agree with The Donald about how Hillary & Obama are responsible for what's happening in the Middle East, how they created a vacuum and basically gave ISIS the chance to take over. That we should have grabbed the oil fields long ago when the opportunity existed in order to cut off financial supply to the terrorists, which is their life blood.

In comparison, Hillary pretty much echoed Obama socialistic policies and platitudes of how we need to make the economy more fair, raise the minimum wage, improve infrastructure, increase profit sharing in corporate America, institute paid family leave, provide debt free college to all and that companies need to pay more of their fair share of taxes. And who may I ask will pay for all of that? The very same people the Dems claim they want to help.

Though there's much more to write and say about last night's debate, I need to wrap things up and get on my way.

So here's the bottom line.

I feel the debate was a true draw for the most part. Neither candidate hit it out of the ballpark and was a clear winner. Neither did any candidate make any huge blunder that will ruin them. I also don't think either Donald nor Hillary will have changed the hearts and minds of those on the other side of the aisle.

However, with the above being said, I do feel that overall Donald Trump comes off as more likeable and human than his opponent. Add to that his success in the business world as compared to Hillary's lack of any true success, anywhere and the Donald comes out ahead. That he might just convince a few undecided and/or Independents to give him a shot.

One additional note. Polls were taken after the debate to see if either candidate had won. The few I checked are as follows:

Drudge Poll:  Something like 82% Trump, 17% for Hillary; Time: 53% Trump, 47% Hillary; CNBC, 66% Trump, 34% Hillary.

Will be interesting to check out more polls as time marches on.

The Plot thickens. Below is a link to the article with the scoop.

Btw, the article is written by John Schindler who, according to Observer Politics "is a security expert and former National Security Agency analyst and counterintelligence officer. A specialist in espionage and terrorism, he’s also been a Navy officer and a War College Professor."

Pretty impressive credentials...

Is The Donald A Narcissist? And If So, Is That Necessarily A Bad Thing???

A family member recently sent me a link to a thought provoking and interesting article by Quillette whose motto is A Platform For Free Thought in regards to politics, psychology and the U.S. elections. It examines the personalities of Donald Trump, Hillary, Obama, Bush, Carter and other past presidents. Very interesting perspective.

Hillary And The Dems Have Changed The Narrative

Does anyone else realize what Mrs. Clinton, the Dems and the MSM have been able to accomplish via her inflammatory statements in response to the recent violence and protests in NC?

They've changed the narrative. They've changed what everyone's talking about and reporting on. Consequently, the heat's off of Mrs. Clinton.

No longer is the press nor anyone else for that matter talking about Hillary's health issues, the email scandal, the recent terrorist attacks in NY, NJ & MN, Clinton Cash, the upcoming debate and that Mrs. Clinton has bowed out of some important events recently for whatever reasons.

Now they're all angry about the shooting by a black police officer, in defense of himself, of a young black man.

In addition to refocusing attention away from Hillary, they're also advancing their MO against police across the country, in order to eventually try and federalize them.

Last, the Dems, MSM & Hillary's campaign are hoping to continue with their divide and conquer strategy in order to gain votes by trying to categorize blacks as victims, of which only Hillary can help & rescue if elected.

No doubt the resulting looting, violence, etc.  in NC is organized with the above agenda in mind.

Guess the MSM, the Dems and Hillary are taking past advice given by Rahm Emmanuel to the Clintons during their time in the White House  to "Never let a crisis go to waste".

Smart move. For now anyway. But things are what they are,  Hilllary has many liabilities and eventually, at least I hope, the day of reckoning will arrive.

Presidential Polls Tightening Up

It's just 5 days till the first presidential debate and the polls are tightening up. Trump is closing the gap little by little between he and Hillary and is either ahead by a point or two or in a dead heat. With a few polls showing Hillary ahead by 4 or 5 percentage points. But even those stats come under the statistical margin of error category.

I give Kelly Ann Conway, Trump's Campaign Manager and Spokesperson full credit for The Donald's turnaround.

Since she's come on board, the campaign has employed a wonderful speech writer, has him using teleprompters and has softened his image. Yet, The Donald is still The Donald. Bold, brash, outspoken, a bit rough around the edges and someone who has the guts to fight back against those who try their best to malign him.

Most of you know that I was not a huge fan of Mr. Trump in the beginning and voted for Cruz (whom I'm greatly disappointed in but that's a blog for another day). Thought he was too thin skinned, vindictive and petty.

I still think the above. However, when one has to balance out the good, the bad and the ugly, I've decided to hop on the Trump Train.

Why?

In no way would any of the other candidates, with the possible exception of Cruz,  have the personality to fight back against the constant barrage of negative press, accusations and lies the way the Donald has.

When Trump is hit hard, he still hits back twice as hard. And he does immediately. But with Kelly Ann Conway in charge, he does so in acceptable and smart ways for the most part.

If one of the other candidates had won the nomination, I highly doubt they would fight back against Hillary, the Democrat Party and the MSM the way Trump has. Most likely they'd be polite, maybe say a word or two to defend themselves and that would be it. They wouldn't hit back hard enough. Consequently, the opposition would  remain in control and win the election.

But The Donald knows how to fight fire with fire and that's exactly what he's been doing. And with gusto. Remember the trendy saying you'd see on t-shirts, hats, etc. a few years back? No Fear? That's what it's all about now. Being fearless.

Bottom line.

I thank the powers that be for Kelly Ann and also for The Donald. He's not perfect by any stretch and I still think he has the negative personality traits I wrote about, but he's a fighter and fearless and that's exactly what we need if we're to take back the White House.

State Department Admits ISIS Posing As Refugees

No Fed Hike On Interest Rates

Just heard on the news that the Feds have decided NOT to raise interest rates this go round.

I knew they wouldn't.

Might screw up the stock market as well as the economy. Obama would NOT like that.  He wants to be able to leave office and say how prosperous things have been under his presidency. One thing he and his administration excel at, is gas lighting the American people into believing all's well, when in reality it's not.

Bet ya however,  that once the POTUS leaves office, the Feds will raise the rates and big time... Especially if Trump gets in. Then when the markets react negatively and the economy starts going downhill (even worse than it is now), they'll be able to blame it on him and/or the republicans. As you know, NOTHING that goes wrong is EVER Obama's fault. Ever.

The Cat's Out Of The Bag For Hillary

I think we may see the end of Hillary Clinton's run for the POTUS just around the corner. But not without a fight of course from both Clinton's.

As most know, the cat is now out of the bag about the candidate's health after the media blitzed the airways with footage of Mrs. Clinton's collapse during the 9/11 Anniversary Event held in NYC on Sunday.

Rumors flew, confusion was everywhere but video's don't lie. So Hillary and her minions' were forced to admit that she was diagnosed with pneumonia the previous Friday and that was the reason for her ill health.

But is it?

The Dems must think there's definitely more serious medical issues than is being reported and are gearing up for a contingency plan.

Some say Kane will take over. Others whisper Biden might jump in.

Whatever the case,  change is in the air...

Never Forget ...

"Nearly every American above a certain age remembers precisely where they were on September 11, 2001. But for a tiny handful of people, those memories touch American presidential history. Shortly after the attacks began, the most powerful man in the world, who had been informed of the World Trade Center explosions in a Florida classroom, was escorted to a runway and sent to the safest place his handlers could think of: the open sky."

"For the next eight hours, with American airspace completely cleared of jets, a single blue-and-white Boeing 747, tail number 29000—filled with about 65 passengers, crew and press, and the 43rd president, George W. Bush, as well as 70 box lunches and 25 pounds of bananas—traversed the eastern United States."

"The story of those remarkable hours—and the thoughts and emotions of those aboard—isolated eight miles above America, escorted by three F-16 fighters, flying just below the speed of sound, has never been comprehensively told."

Here is a link to the incredibly powerful blow by blow story as told to Politico Magazine by those who were there. Note that it is a long article but well worth the time reading.

15th Anniversary Of September 11th ...

Image result for pics of 9/11 trade towers

“I will begin by saying what everybody would like to ignore or forget but which must nevertheless be stated, namely, that we have sustained a total and unmitigated defeat.” -- That was Winston Churchill’s description of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's surrender to Hitler in the Munich Agreement of 1938.

Yet Churchill's words also apply to where the United States is today.

Our men and women in uniform have been heroic.

Many have signed up to serve again even after being wounded.

Our tactical units remain the best in the world.

Our intelligence officers and diplomats have risked their lives in service to the country.

The problem is not with the sincerity, the courage, the energy or the effort of individual Americans

The problem has been the approach of a bipartisan Washington political elite that has squandered 15 years, thousands of lives, many thousands wounded, and trillions of dollars with no coherent strategy, no honest assessment of the challenge, and no willingness to learn from failure and develop new strategies and new institutions."

The above is an excerpt from an excellent piece written by Newt Gingrich, former Speak of the House.

What he outlines in so few but eloquent words about the attacks on September 11, 2001 is insightful and thought provoking.

Since President Obama has taken charge, as Newt describes in the linked article below, things have gotten out of control in the Middle East and here in the west. To the point where even more terror groups have formed since 9/11 with the sole purpose of dispersing themselves throughout the world to wreak havoc, death and destruction in order to achieve their objective. Which is to take total control and wipe out those who do not hold their beliefs.

They are doing this with the help of work visa's, social media, un-vetted immigration and last but not least,  governments so tied to political correctness that they are afraid to take charge, call this spread of evil for what it is and devise plans to wipe out Islamic terrorism for good.

Tomorrow is the 15th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks on U.S. soil by Islamic Terrorists. "A day that will live in infamy" to quote Franklin Delano Roosevelt. No doubt they'll be remembrances, prayers and eloquent speeches to commemorate what happened during that fateful time.

But where will we go from there? Will we continue to struggle with half hazard strategies to fight an ever increasing seepage of terrorism into our daily lives or will the next administration take charge, and devise and implement a solid plan to defeat this ever present danger?

The election is right around the corner. 58 days away I believe.

Will the American people vote in a new president who has the guts, patriotism and love of country to change course and defeat those who would completely destroy us? Or will we continue on the path of least resistance that the current administration has followed?

That is the million dollar question... And one that has very high stakes.

Trouble With Commenting

For those who wish to comment but do not want their names out there, there's a simple way to respond. Go to the Comments section. This is located right below the blog entry itself. Click. Then click on the Comment As: section.  A list of options will appear. Scroll down to anonymous. Click. Then write your comment. None of your personal info will appear on the blog and you will remain anonymous.

Please note that other options might ask you to sign in with your gmail account or via other venues. If you try to do so, especially via a gmail a/c, it'll take you through a series of steps that gets quite complicated. It'll also ask for lots of information you may not want to give out. The best way to avoid this is to go the anonymous route.

If you want to identify yourself in some form while responding via the anonymous route, you can do so by signing off with a first name, initials, a handle or however you'd like in the same window as your comments.

I wrote the above because I've noticed when checking my stats, that I have close to a thousand readers a month, but rarely any comments. For the most part I only receive responses from those who are on an email list who receive post alerts in their inboxes. These readers then hit the reply key and their responses show up in my personal email inbox. A dialogue then begins but only between  myself and the reader. No one else can participate.

Hope this helps those who would like to respond with comments directly on the site but not have to worry about exposing their identities. Or having to deal with the difficulties imposed using other selections offered in the Comment As section.
