15th Anniversary Of September 11th ...

“I will begin by saying what everybody would like to ignore or forget but which must nevertheless be stated, namely, that we have sustained a total and unmitigated defeat.” -- That was Winston Churchill’s description of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's surrender to Hitler in the Munich Agreement of 1938.

Yet Churchill's words also apply to where the United States is today.

Our men and women in uniform have been heroic.

Many have signed up to serve again even after being wounded.

Our tactical units remain the best in the world.

Our intelligence officers and diplomats have risked their lives in service to the country.

The problem is not with the sincerity, the courage, the energy or the effort of individual Americans

The problem has been the approach of a bipartisan Washington political elite that has squandered 15 years, thousands of lives, many thousands wounded, and trillions of dollars with no coherent strategy, no honest assessment of the challenge, and no willingness to learn from failure and develop new strategies and new institutions."

The above is an excerpt from an excellent piece written by Newt Gingrich, former Speak of the House.

What he outlines in so few but eloquent words about the attacks on September 11, 2001 is insightful and thought provoking.

Since President Obama has taken charge, as Newt describes in the linked article below, things have gotten out of control in the Middle East and here in the west. To the point where even more terror groups have formed since 9/11 with the sole purpose of dispersing themselves throughout the world to wreak havoc, death and destruction in order to achieve their objective. Which is to take total control and wipe out those who do not hold their beliefs.

They are doing this with the help of work visa's, social media, un-vetted immigration and last but not least,  governments so tied to political correctness that they are afraid to take charge, call this spread of evil for what it is and devise plans to wipe out Islamic terrorism for good.

Tomorrow is the 15th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks on U.S. soil by Islamic Terrorists. "A day that will live in infamy" to quote Franklin Delano Roosevelt. No doubt they'll be remembrances, prayers and eloquent speeches to commemorate what happened during that fateful time.

But where will we go from there? Will we continue to struggle with half hazard strategies to fight an ever increasing seepage of terrorism into our daily lives or will the next administration take charge, and devise and implement a solid plan to defeat this ever present danger?

The election is right around the corner. 58 days away I believe.

Will the American people vote in a new president who has the guts, patriotism and love of country to change course and defeat those who would completely destroy us? Or will we continue on the path of least resistance that the current administration has followed?

That is the million dollar question... And one that has very high stakes.
