Obama Visits Cuba

President Obama is currently visiting Cuba. He is the first president to do so since the revolution in 1959. What kind of impact could this historical coming together of Raul Castro (Fidel's brother) and Barack Obama have on Cuba and the U.S.?

Since talks between them began about 15 months ago, Cuba has opened its doors to American businesses. Most notable are Google and Mariott Hotels. Could this be the beginning of free enterprise and a bit of capitalism in the communist country?

Maybe, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Why?

From what I understand,  Castro hasn't any intention of letting go of his power and communist, one party rule. No doubt he will try to hold onto it and continue to run Cuba with an iron fist.

However, I wonder whether once the internet is somewhat available to the public,  more American companies are open for business and tourism becomes more prominent, can progress truly be stopped?

Only time will tell.
