How Presidential Delegates Are Distributed Once A Candidate Drops Out

Now that Rubio has dropped out of the GOP race for president, his delegates are up for grabs by the candidates still in the picture once the Convention rolls around in July.  All 164 of them.

But not so fast.

There are 3 tiers of delegates, each released at different times but only according to the different rules set by the convention itself along with the states where those delegates were gained. Gets kind of complicated and difficult to explain, but if interested in learning about it all,  check out the link to the  article below.

The bottom line is that Rubio will definitely have a certain amount of power in deciding to whom SOME of the delegates go and thus who might be the nominee. No doubt Trump, Cruz and even Kasich are already cozying up to Marco with hopes of gaining those delegates.

However, most likely the battle will be between The Donald and Cruz. What about Kasich? Mathematically he has absolutely NO chance of winning the correct amount of delegates. Regardless he'll play a part, like Rubio come the convention with hopes of making a deal to possibly play a part in a future administration.

What a game it is!
